“As The Light Draws In”

Anglesey Family Home

Down a quiet lane on the Isle of Anglesey, this family home was ready for a quieter chapter.

Picture a house surrounded by mountain views, sea air, and layers of history. The brief was simple on the surface - a light refurbishment. But the real transformation came from something more considered - making the space quieter, softer, and more resolved.

We stripped back the visual noise in order to create spaces that held you. Colours were toned down, textures dialled up, and accessories carefully softened. The result is a more cohesive, welcoming family home that feels calm and grounded, in time for the quiet season.

“I had never worked with an interior designer before and was always slightly put off by the idea they would impose their taste which wouldn’t necessarily match mine.

Kate made the whole process interesting and fun without any stress, and I am absolutely delighted with the results.”

Against convention, we leaned into darker tones, heavier curtains, and gentler lighting. Rather than chasing brightness, we created depth. Rather than lightness, warmth.

The result is a home designed for winter: a place for rest, retreat, and hibernation.
